Hello, it's Marika here. Another fortnight has gone and it is my turn to host the Altenew blog. Today I am featuring To the Moon– set and Painted Butterflies– set. I wanted to make a white moon that has that beautiful halo around it in a very dark sky. I tried to do this in many different ways and finally I came up with the idea of stamping the base layer on a very light ink and then heat embossing the third layer and then getting this tone-on-tone look. I'm very pleased how to moon looked at the end – hopefully you like it too. Here is my card

Stamps used: To the Moon, Painted Butterflies and Fresh Freesia.

I made a video tutorial how I made this card. I apologize already advance. I filmed this twice and on both times half the footage was missing – luckily combining the two I was able to edit together this tutorial. Hopefully you can still find it helpful. You can watch it here or in HD in YouTube.
