Where Do You Find Your Inspiration? | Quick and Simple Card

by Laurie Willison

Hello everyone! It's Laurie Willison here with another quick and simple card.

The other day I was looking at photos of one of my favorite craft houses here in Kansas. The couches in the house are very much vintage, bright colors with lots of green.  I can tell you for sure I have never pulled inspiration from a couch but today is that day!

My Inspiration

Inspiration CouchWhen I saw the new stamp set called Bountiful Bouquet, I new for sure that I had to bring in some bright greens to go along with these gorgeous blooms.

Altenew BeautifulBouquet4To get started on this quick and simple card, I hot foiled a piece of white cardstock with the Chevron Background Hot Foil Plate.

If you haven't tried foiling yet, you are missing out!

This amazing technique that adds shine to your project is so much fun.  This simple chevron design is quick and easy and perfect for layering in blooms.

Altenew BeautifulBouquet3Next, I stamped up the large image from Bountiful Bouquet and added some random greens to get this look.  I started with Forest Glades, followed by Just Green, and then did the little details in Moss.

Altenew BeautifulBouquet2To finish the card, I used the “hello” sentiment from the Simple Greetings Die Set. The fun, vintage font of the sentiment works well with the overall retro vibe of the card.
