Hi everyone! It's Jocelyn here, and today I'm sharing a set of cards using the new Raise the Steaks set. I've noticed I have very few masculine cards, and I wanted to make a few cards for men.
Here's the first card:
I mass-produced the front panels with the layered steaks from the Raise the Steaks set. It was easy enough to line up the layers, but with this stamp set, I think it looks equally good to have the layers a little off-set. I stamped three of the four steaks using the same inks and added sentiments from the same set. The sentiments make me laugh–I love a good pun.
Once I finished stamping the panels, I flicked white and orange spray mists on the panels. After trimming the panels, I layered them over some older Crate Open Road papers. I hand-cut a corner of the patterned paper to balance the weight in the upper-left corner.
I felt like the cards were a little too plain, so I added a few simple embellishments and cord bows. The punny sentiments in this set are perfect! For my last card, I stamped the steak in darker browns, which look a little more steak-like to me.
I had to use some floral patterned paper–I couldn't resist!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

These are truly groan-worthy puns! Love the way you layered the colours for the steaks, Jocelyn — or should I say, well done? haha The patterned papers are perfect, too. I really like the layered top corner!
