Watercoloured Lotus card

by Aga

Hello Everyone! It's Aga here with you today and I’m sharing a simple watercoloured card using Lotus stamp set.

I started by stamping the floral arrangement using a masking technique. I used only the outline images and picked out the brightest ink colours for them: Frayed Leaf for green elements and Soft Lilac for the flower. When I was stamping stems, I curved them a little on a acrylic block to make them fit to my arrangement. Then I used watercolours to colour the stamped images.

As I mentioned I used the brightest ink colours just to have some guidelines of where to colour in. Once everything was set and dry I stamped the leaves and flower once again, this time using Evergreen and Deep Iris inks. I also added some pink splatters for the flower and a sentiment from Thinking of You set.
