Watercolor outside the lines. Video

by yana.smakula

Hello friends, this is Yana. How often do you color outside the lines? When I'm using alcohol markers coloring outside the lines is a big no-no for me. But when it comes to watercoloring – why now? Why not step away from the traditional ways and get a bit messy?

Today I'm using stunning Magnolias For Her stamp set along with matching dies and loosely watercoloring my images. I'm using a wet on wet technique and blending yellow and pink directly on the paper to create beautiful shades of peach and orange.

I've filmed a video tutorial to show you how to make this card from start to finish. Watch it below or on Altenew Youtube channel:

ARVE Error: need id and provider

Aside from the Magnolias stamp and dies I also used Spicy Yogurt cardstock to create a base for my card (I have one more project using this cardstock here) and beautiful Antique Trim in gold. I'm also sharing a peek at the new clear blocks – I'm using them to do my stamping today, if you want to see them in action – be sure to watch the video.

This is beautiful! I love that you pulled out an older stamp set. I need to see more examples of the stamp sets that may have been forgotten with all of the new releases:)
