Hi, it's Therese and it's time for another stamp focus! I have a wonderful set called Christmas Stockings Stamp Set and its coordinating die set with three projects to share.
My first card is all about the background. I used the stocking image as well as some sweets from the Way Too Sweet Stamp Set. The candy cane from Sweet Season was also perfect for this design.
My background was colored with the Jet Black Artist Marker and the sentiment was from the Happy Holidays Stamp Set. I also couldn't resist adding some New Day Enamel Dots.
My second card design is all about creating a scene and I used many sets for this design. The fireplace and ‘wood' were from the Framed Stamp Set. The ‘flames' were created from the Majestic Bloom image and of course, there had to be a Wood Pallet Background floor stamped on Parchment Cardstock.
I added a Heart Beat red sentiment to my Pale Gray Cardstock base from the Starry Night Stamp Set.
For my final card design, I created a video to show an easy way to use the negative die cut space and the Christmas Stockings image.
I used a panel of Lagoon Cardstock, added a white heat-embossed sentiment and some stars from the Festive Poinsettia and Starry Night Stamp Sets.
You can watch the process in my video here or Watch it in HD on Youtube.

Isn't the Christmas Stockings Stamp Set so much fun?! I hope you enjoyed the projects today.

I love this new Holiday stamp and die set. I really tried to ignore it but as usual I gave in and bought the set. Can’t wait to start making my Christmas cards with this set.
I agree, it’s a classic and can be stamped in soo many combos which is perfect depending on whether or not you want more traditional or modern combos of colours and patterns. Hope you have as much fun as I am with this set! Thanks for commenting, Therese
These are so cute. I especially love the first card with the black background. :)
Yes, I like how that one turned out. I actually made a mistake and so thought I had nothing to lose and ‘covered up ‘ the background with black, it was not part of the original plan lol. Have a great day, Therese
So sweet. Altenew is blessed to have you on their team. Love the use of negative space . I need to remember that more often. Thank
It’s a technique I often forget too, but I made a few versions of this card and they were all fun! Thank you for your lovely visit Therese
