Hello! I had so much fun and was so inspired by the Simple Shapes stamps, that I wanted to try out repetitive patterns and create my own pattern paper. You can see my first layout with these stamps here. For this layout, I went with brighter colors of ink: Peach Perfect, Warm Sunshine, and Coral Berry. And a few soft and neutral colors: Moon Rock, Soft Lilac, and Frayed Leaf.
I started with a plain piece of white cardstock and started stamping different designs wide enough to cut them into 2″ squares to place as a grid on my layout. Once the squares and my photos were in place, I stamped my title, subtitle, and the fish from the Ori Kami stamp set. I used the matching die to cut the fish out.
I placed stickers and embellishments to help bring attention to the photo, the title, and to also add more texture along with the framed stitching around the layout.
Thank you so much for letting me share another way to use the stamps for your layouts.

Thank you, Taunya! And I would love to see what you do. With simple shapes and ink colors, there’s so many ways to get creative and make it different each time.
