Hi everyone!  It's Ashley with a new layout for you today, using the Basic Borders Stamp Set.  This stamp set is so cute and I love that it has several designs that you can use.  I wanted to create my own patterned paper with the heart border from the set.  I used the Coral Berry Crisp Ink ink pad to create a watercolor effect on White card stock and stamped the hearts from the same ink color to get the look I wanted.

Once I had the stamping finished, I used my 2 inch circle punch to punch out several circles.  I arranged all of the circles in the background over the black & white patterned paper from the Reflection Scrapbook Collection, and then stitched through all of the circles.  The pops of pink are so fun over the black & white stripes!

Next, I thought it would be fun to add a large title over the circles and the Rainbow patterned paper was perfect for large hand-cut letters.  The color really stands out against the pink circles.  Finally, I completed the layout with a few embellishments from the Reflection Collection.  I like to add texture and dimension with the wood buttons and wood veneers from the kit.

There is a new Process Video along with today's layout, showing how I created the patterned paper look with the Basic Borders stamp set.  You can check it out here or watch it on the Altenew YouTube channel.

This would be a fun technique to try with other stamp sets from the Altenew shop!  You could also experiment with adding color.  I loved the look of the tone on tone color for this layout, but mixing colors could create entirely different designs, so don't be afraid to create your own look.  Hopefully you've been inspired by today's layout, and you'll give this a try with your Altenew stamps.

Beautiful! I’m impressed how you cut the letters free-hand. You must have practised before.
