Hello, everyone!
Erum here with a new card featuring the Leaf Canopy Stamp Set.
I will start by stamping the leafy branch with Antique Linen distress ink. Distress inks react with water so it will lighten when I watercolor over it but will still be a bit visible. After stamping the leaves, I will watercolor them one at a time by applying water to the leaf, dropping in a color and spreading it around a bit (not fully). Then, I will clean the brush and drop in another color, mix it a bit or let the water do its magic.
I will color all the leaves the same way. The only thing I will change is the colors. All my leaves are going to be of different colors of fall.
After I am done coloring the leaves, I will add a light color wash and splatters on the background, adding shades of green and a bit of pink. I should've done this earlier. That would have been easier. But this works as well since I ended up with a slightly loose watercolored look.
When the background dries, I will paint the branch. I didn't follow the stamped image perfectly to paint the branch, I added a few connections of my own. You can see that I made the branch a little thicker.
Next, I will add a few black paint splatters and stamp a couple of sentiments from the Sincere Greetings Stamp Set.
The Leaf Canopy Stamp Set has so many possibilities!
