Hello there everyone and happy Friday! Lydia here with you. Today I'll be sharing a technique that stretches your supplies using Artist Marker Refills to create beautiful alcohol ink backgrounds.
To start, I took a piece of Yupo Paper and added drops of Artist Marker Refills onto it in a random fashion. I used Frosty Pink, Cotton Candy, Ruby Red, Midnight Violet, Ocean Waves, and Desert Night Marker Refills, as well as some alcohol ink blending solution and rose gold mixative. I also used a hand blower tool but you could use a straw as well to mix and move the colors around. Once I was happy with the effect, I moved these to the side to dry.
I then took two 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ panels of white cardstock and cut the Floral Heart Frame Die into place into each of them. Next, I glued the alcohol ink backgrounds behind the die-cut heart and added the delicate die-cut back into place using glue tape.
To finish the cards off, I simply stamped a sentiment from Delicate Primrose Stamp Set onto a strip of white cardstock and added these into place using foam tape.
To see how these cards came together please check out the video below or over on YouTube:
Thanks so much for stopping by!
