Hello there everyone! Lydia here. Today I'll be sharing with you a super simple pencil coloring technique for coloring small images. I'll be using Moments In Time Stamp Set.
To start I stamped one of the sentiments from Moment In Time Stamp Set into place onto a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ panel of Solar White Cardstock using Obsidian Ink. I then stamped the small branch around the sentiment using a light gray ink.
Then I colored the images using colored pencils. I only used 2 shades of pencil for each of the image parts, 2 blue for the petals, 2 yellows for the flower centers, 2 greens for the leaves and 1 brown for the branches. For the petals I gently colored with the light blue, added a couple of strokes with the darker blue and then went over the whole petal with the light blue again. For the flower centers I added a circle of dark yellow to the center, then took the light yellow to cover the flower center. I used the dark green at the base of the leaves and then took the light green to cover the whole leaf. For the branch I simply colored this with a light brown.
When this was complete I wanted to add a little extra. So I cover the sentiment using a little masking tape and added a little splatter using Mountain Mist Ink Spray.
