Hello everyone! Lydia here. Today I'll be sharing a technique inspired by the lovely Amber (Notable Ink), that allows you to use your stencils onto solid stamps. I'll be using Simple Shapes XL Stamp Set and Deco Wonder Stencil.
To start, I took the Deco Wonder Stencil and sprayed it with some repositionable adhesive. I then placed the stencil on top of a solid image from Simple Shapes XL Stamp Set. I used the large triangle for the first card and the circle for the second. Once the stencil was in place I then inked through it to the stamp beneath. I used Ultramarine Ink for the triangle and a mix of Ultramarine and Olive Inks for the circle. I used finger daubers to add the inks as I found this gave the best impressions.
Once all the inking was done, I removed the stencil and stamped the image into place. I just love the look this gives and it really stretches your supplies as you can play around with both the stamps and stencils you use.
For the triangle card, I finished this off with a sentiment from Sentiment Strips Stamp Set. For the circle card, I finished off with a sentiment from Fancy Greetings Stamp Set and a few clear sequins.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you again real soon!

This is serendipity! I say that because I just received my Simple Shapes XL stamps on Monday. I love it when I have the stamps used in a tutorial. This is a wonderful technique. I’m off to my craft room to go through my stencils — can’t wait to try this.

What a cool technique and a new way to make anew stamp. Thank you for sharing and inspiring.
I love this technique as so often we don’t realize how we can utilize our stencils more. For that reason, I buy the ones I know will get the most use. Now, I know different. Thank you, again, for your wonderful videos. You always teach me so much.
Love your stencil on stamp technique. Such a great video and the cards are fabulous!! Thanks so much for sharing.
