Hello there everyone and happy Friday! Lydia here today and I'll be sharing a way you can make focal die cut sentiments pop using simple drop shadows.
I started by stamping onto a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ white cardstock panel. I used Heart Flowers Stamp Set for the images and I used Pink Diamond, Pinkalicious, Mountain Mist, Volcano Lake, Mango Smoothie, Parrot and Olive Inks to stamp them. I just love how these colors work together to create such a bright and happy feel.
I then took a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of acetate, and adhered ‘thanks' onto it using glue tape and Bold Alphabet Die Set. I love using a piece of acetate this way as it means I can line this up on a card panel (with the letters attached) and cut it many times and the letters will be in the same place.
I then used this to cut my stamped panel and a piece of gold cardstock.
I adhered the stamped die cut panel over the gold die cut panel, offsetting it a little to get a fun shadow effect. For the letters I adhered the stamped ones over the gold ones again offsetting them.
You can watch the video below to see how these cards came together or you can watch over on our YouTube Channel:
Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you again real soon!
