Hello everyone and happy Friday! Are you waiting for summer, as I am? Today I'll be sharing how to create 3 different cards with a summer feel. You too can create a beautiful array of rainbow citrus fruits just by changing up the colors for stamping.
To start I stamped lots of citrus images from Main Squeeze Stamp Set to create different citrus fruits. I used Bamboo, Parrot, Olive and Moss Inks for the limes, Citrus Burst, Fresh Lemon, Maple Yellow and Honey Drizzle Inks for the lemons, Sunkissed, Orange Cream, Autumn Blaze and Firebrick Inks for the oranges and Frosty Pink, Cotton Candy, Coral Berry and Ruby Red Inks for the pink grapefruits. I also stamped some leaves from Frosted Garden Stamp Set using Volcano Lake and Lagoon Inks. Once I had stamped many of these images I cut them all out using the coordinating dies. To add some difference to the fruits I cut some of them through the middle to give a different look.
When I had all of my images I could then work these into 3 different cards. I also used some black and white striped patterned paper from Essentials Black & White Paper Pack to add a fun contrast to the bright fruits and leaves. For the sentiments I kept it simple by heat embossing them using Pure White Embossing Powder onto a strip of Jet Black Cardstock.
Please see the video below (or over on YouTube) to watch how these cards came together and also how to easily line up the fruits for perfect stamping:
Thank you so much for stopping by and I'll see you again real soon!
