Hello, everyone! Happy Friday! It's Lydia here with you and today I have a video sharing a fun heat embossing technique.
I started with the Fantasy Floral 3D Die Set and cut the three flower layers three times and the leaves two times from white cardstock. Once I had all of my pieces, I could then set to work. I started with the solid base layers of the flowers and inked them all over using Embossing Ink and then heat embossed them using Rose Gold Embossing Powder. Once this layer was cool, I then inked these up again and heat embossed them a second time using Rose Gold Embossing Powder. While the embossing was still hot, I sprinkled Antique Gold Embossing Powder on it and let it sink into the previous embossing.
I did the same technique of double embossing and then sprinkling another color of embossing powder for the other layers and leaves. For the second layer, I used Antique Gold Embossing Powder to double emboss and then added a sprinkling of Copper Embossing Powder; for the third flower layer, I used Copper Embossing Powder to double emboss and then added Antique Gold Embossing Powder to the center. For the leaves, I used Antique Silver Embossing Powder to double emboss and added a sprinkle of Platinum Embossing Powder.
Once all the flower layers were complete, I adhered them together using a little foam tape for dimension.
I used Navy Cardstock for my card base as this seemed to make my flowers pop more. I added an Antique Silver heat embossed sentiment from Build-A-Flower: Ranunculus Stamp Set and some splatters using Antique Silver Ink Spray before adding my flowers and leaves into place.
