Hello there, everyone! Lydia here. Today I'll be sharing a bold and bright card using Layered Dahlia Stencils.
I started by placing Layered Dahlia Stencil A over a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock. Then, I masked outlines using masking tape. I inked the masked lines in the rainbow order. The inks I used for this are Ruby Red, Orange Cream, Warm Sunshine, Parrot, Lagoon and Deep Iris. Once this was done, I removed the stencil.
I then placed Layered Dahlia Stencil B on it and went over it all using white pigment ink. Note that this doesn't get rid of the color completely; it only mutes it. When completely covered, I then removed this stencil.
For the sentiment, I used Label Love. I stamped one of the sentiments onto a piece of Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock using Obsidian Pigment Ink. For added interest, I added a few Jet Black Enamel Dots.
For a video to see how this was done, please watch below. Or head over to YouTube:
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you were inspired to try creating masked stripes through stencils!

I love the bold contrast of the white stencil image & black sentiment strip against the rainbow stripes of color on this card!
