Hello everyone and happy Friday! It's Lydia here and today I'll be sharing a way in which you can add color quickly and easily to outline images.
I started by stamping a number of flowers and leaves from Happy Heart Stamp Set onto a piece of white cardstock using Embossing Ink and then heat set them using Pure White Embossing Powder. Once cooled, I then cut them out using the coordinating dies.
I then used finger daubers and ink to color the images. I used Mango Smoothie Ink for the flower centers and stamens, Pink Pearl Ink for the flower petals, and Sweet Leaf Ink for the leaves.
Before adhering the flowers and leaves to my card base, I added splatters to the card front using Jet Black Ink Spray.
I also created another card using the same technique but with more vibrant colors:
The second card uses the Perfectly Perfect Stamp Set for the images. I colored them in the same way but just switched out the colors. For the flowers, I used Lagoon Ink for the petals, Honey Drizzle Ink for the flower centers, and Parrot Ink for leaves.
For a step-by-step video on how to do this technique, please check out the video below or on YouTube channel:
Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll see you again real soon!
