Hello there, everyone!
It's Lydia here with you today and I wanted to share with you a fun way to use the Spring Shower Cover Die. We all know it can be used as a cover die but there is so much fun you can have with the negative pieces too!
I started by cutting the cover die out of white cardstock. I did this as it's so much easier to add color to this than cutting it a number of times from colored cardstock. I then colored the die cut pieces using Artist Markers. The colors I used are Blush, Rouge, Buttercream, Dusk and Desert Night. A little bit of an unusual color combo but I do love how the blue leaves look.
Once I had colored all of my pieces, I then added a sentiment to my card base. I used this beautiful one from Crafty Life Stamp Set with black ink. Then I played around with the flower placement before adhering them all down.
How-to Video!

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I'll see you again real soon!

Gorgeous colours Lydia and I love the idea of using the negative pieces. Thanks for the inspiration!
Great idea Lydia and lovely colours. Thanks for this gorgeous card.
Hi Lydia. I’m so glad I watched this rather than reading a blog. I really need to watch creations happening – I’ve got no hope otherwise, hehehehe. Definitely a “visual” learner. Love the gorgeous blues in your leaves, particularly the navy – I’m a bit fond of navy too, especially teamed with red and white. Old school, I know, but love the combo. Thanks for sharing this really pretty card and different technique.
Beautiful card!
