Hello stamping gang! Yana is here with you today sharing a new video tutorial using amazing Altenew products. Be sure to grab a cup of coffee/tea and enjoy now or bookmark/pin/save this post and come watch our video later.
Today I am sharing an elegant Just For You card using lots of gold accents and bright colors. I seem to be enjoying working with the gold-colored products more and more these days.
If you have been following my video tutorials you might have noticed that there was a request from Sue to use Lacy Scrolls for my next video, unfortunately, I do not have that stamp set, so I had to go with a different one for this project. I hope you will enjoy it!
I started working on this card by stamping a large woodgrain background in clear sticky ink and heat embossing it in gold. It also looks very beautiful when stamped in light or dark brown or even grey, be sure to give it a try!
Next I added one of the gorgeous antique trims on top of the background – a gold frame, its not yet in the shop, but will be available soon. I find these trims to be exquisite! Perfect to add to just about any project. I myself have used them on quite a few.
I also heat embossed several flowers and leaves using gold embossing powder onto green, yellow and red cardstock and cut the images out with my scissors. I arranged all of them on top of the frame and created a vibrant floral cluster.
Lastly, I once again used gold embossing powder and created a simple Just For You sentiment.

thank you, Harriet!
Absolutley fabulous card – tremendous dimension and exquisite use of the trim! Wonderful instruction in your video and I LOVE your color palette idea :-)
I haven’t used the craft foam idea but use a lot of Ellen Hutson’s “craft aboard” – it does the the same thing!
thank you so much! I’ll have to look up this “craft aboard” thing, it sure sounds fun :)
OMG wow it’s hard to imagine that you have difficulty with color palettes!!!!! Your stuff is amazing!! I don’t suppose you’d want to share your templates for how you printed your color palettes ? :)
I do! Almost every single time I sit down to make a card :D
Thank you!
As for the templates – no mystery there, I simply dragged 4 images onto a blank 6×6 photoshop document (any other photo editing program should work just fine), sized them down and printed. Took me about an hour, but it was worth it.
Your card is absolutely stunning and so elegant! I will definitely be using your color palette idea for help with color selection.
thank you, Laurie!
Beautiful card and love all that gold embossing!

Gorgeous card! I have ordered this stamp set and this is a technique I am definitely hoping to ‘case’, if you don’t mind!!
