Hello there. It's Lilith with a new video and layout using one of the new stamps from our January release. Yesterday was the official release and you may have seen our blog hop. There is so much inspiration and eye candy.
Today I'll be focusing on the Halftone Circles Stamp Set. Geometric shapes are so versatile and easy to use. I opted to work with different shades of pink and kept the background very simple: white.
I picked out three ink colors for this layout namely Frosty Pink, Coral Berry and Ruby Red Crisp Inks. These inks can also be found in sets (a small and large one): Red Cosmos mini set and Red Cosmos oval set.
To create the layout, I picked out three different sized circles and stamped them with different colors. I also made sure that they overlapped a little. I added some confetti to add detail and flow to the layout.
The stamped text below the photo is from the Splash Of Color Stamp Set which is one of my favorites. A little bit of handwritten journaling adds the story behind the photo.
To break up the pink color I placed a couple of wood veneer embellishments and pink hearts over the stamped images. These create a vertical flow as do the the punched out hearts and they also break up the circle shapes a little.
You can see how the layout came together in the video below or on YouTube in full HD.
The Halftone Circles Stamp Set can be used for so many things. I am contemplating creating a whole 12*12 background with them which I think would be amazing so I think that will be one of my future projects.
