Hello, crafty friends. It’s May here today with a fun card focusing on the Layered Letters AFG stamp set.
I also created a matching envelope by gold heat embossing the sentiments from the Crafty Friends stamp set.
To create my own stamped background, I stamped A, F, G letter stamps several times using four different ink colors: Mountain Mist, Volcano Lake, Lagoon, and Emerald.
I added one layer of vellum paper after heat embossing the sentiment from the Layered Letters AFG stamp set using Antique Gold embossing power.
I love how vellum added some softness onto my card front muted the bold stamped background. And the gold embossed sentiment looks gorgeous on vellum as well!
To finish off my card, I stamped the sentiment from the Halftone Hearts stamp set with Zet Black Ink, die cut it using the Halftone Hearts die set, and mounted it on the card front using foam tape.

I made a video tutorial to show you how to make my card from start to finish. You can watch it here or in HD on YouTube.
I'm also sharing my failed(!) watercolor card and a way to dress up a card and an envelope in the video. :)
