Hi, crafty friends! It's May here with a floral watercolor card. To create my own floral arrangement, I mixed the images from several stamp sets: Garden Treasure, Remember This, Beautiful Day.
After stamping the images with black waterproof ink, I colored them with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor set using two different watercolor techniques.
For my yellow flower, I used a quick and easy watercolor technique.
For the orange flower, I spent more time on watercoloring and added multiple layers to give extra dimension and depth to my flower.
Can you tell the difference between the pink and orange flower? The pink flower has some harsh lines on the petals as I applied the pigment after the previous layer was dry.
The orange flower has a smooth and gradient look of the colors as I added the pigment while the previous layer was wet. I love both results. What do you think?
As usual, I dressed up my envelope a bit by stamping the sentiment and image on the flap from the Crafty Friends stamp set.
