Video: Floral Card w/ the Flower Arrangement Stamp & Die Bundle

by May Sukyong Park

Altenew Floral Arrangement Card May Park 1Hi, crafty friends!

It’s May here from Mayholic Design. Today, I'm sharing a card that I created using the color layering technique featuring the Flower Arrangement Stamp & Die Bundle.

Altenew Floral Arrangement Card May Park 3I tried to achieve a bold, striking look of my floral arrangement against the black background. I started by stamping my flowers and leaves from the Flower Arrangement stamp set on a piece of white cardstock.

Altenew Floral Arrangement Card May Park 4Here is the list of ink colors that I used for stamping:

  • Pink flower: Pink Diamond, Pinkalicious, and Rubellite
  • Purple flower: Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields, and Deep Iris
  • Flower center: Fresh Lemon and Honey Drizzle
  • Leaves: Morning Frost, Evening Gray, and Moon Rock

I also die cut “hugs” 5 times from the Script Words die set out of gold mirror cardstock using the Mini Blossom die cutting machine.

Altenew Floral Arrangement Card May Park 5After adding tiny dots to the entire background of my black card base using a white gel pen, I mounted my die cut elements on the card front using 3M foam tape to give some dimension.

I made a video tutorial to show you how to make my card from start to finish. You can watch it here or in HD on YouTube. I’m also sharing a behind-the-scenes video at the end that you don’t want to miss! :)

Altenew Floral Arrangement Card May Park 6That’s all for today. Hope my card inspired you to create a card with stamp layering technique.

Happy crafting!

May, your card is so beautiful! Love the colors and design! I too am a messy crafter. ? I did just reorganize my space and am finding it easier to put away my supplies between projects.

What a great video for this gorgeous card. I have to say, my craft desk is super messy also, plus I have two young daughters, ages 6 and 9, who like to craft with me. So you can imagine how bad it looks in my space! But creative mess is okay, I say. I also noticed you were watching Friends, which is one of my all-time favorite shows! Bonus points for being a fan of Friends! :-)

Your card is beautiful and very elegant ! I love the colors you’ve selected, gray for the leaves give the little “plus” for the card.
My crafting area is always a big mess ! My mind is working that way : whenever I’m trying to straighten up, I’m completely lost for days and cannot find anything anymore. The perfect excuse for being lazy – LOL !
