Video: Be a dreamer (Happy Dreams Stamp)

by Lilith Eeckels

Welcome Altenew fans. It's Lilith with a new layout and video featuring the Reflection Scrapbook Kit and the Happy Dreams Stamp Set. I wanted a soft and dreamy feel to the layout and chose a patterned paper with flowers, butterflies and a bird on it. I didn't want to use the whole paper and opted for some fussy cutting. Here is the result:

To add depth and interest I used quite a lot of foam dots to give the impression that the butterflies and the bird are moving. This also creates shadow and makes the layout look less flat. I used one of the stamps from the Happy Dreams Stamp Set as a title using Jet Black Crisp Dye Ink and added a second stamp using Lagoon Crisp Dye Ink.

The white die cuts which are in the scrapbook kit add an element of refinement and to draw the eye towards the journalling I added a label stamp from the Label Love Stamp Set French Edition. There are different versions in the shop. A couple of wood embellishment frame the label stamp and I also added a couple of foam dots to lift the label off the layout.

To add more movement I put some Lagoon Crisp Ink onto a stamping block and diluted it with some water. I then splattered some of the ink over the layout to create ink splatters.
