Hi everyone!
I have two cards to share with you today and a stenciling technique. You can watch the video at the end of this post to get a better idea of how to go about it.
For my cards, I will be using the Square Weave Pattern and the Floral Mandala Stencils. I start by adding a little of Cosmic Berry and Lagoon Metallic Ink Sprays onto the watercolor palette. I am going to use these sprays as watercolors.
First, I wet the watercolor cardstock and started adding a diluted version of both the colors. I also mixed the two colors in some areas to form a beautiful purple shade. While the cardstock is still wet, I placed the stencil over it and then placed something flat and heavy over it carefully. I let this dry naturally. When you come back later to this, remove the heavy objects carefully and remove the stencil to reveal the beautiful stencil impression.
Next, I stamped several flowers and leaves from Always There Stamp Set onto watercolor paper. I used the Lagoon and Cosmic Berry Metallic Ink Sprays to watercolor the images. For the flower center, I used the Jet Black Artist Marker and a white gel pen to add detailing.
For the first card, I die cut the frame from New Day Card Kit in white and silver. I used the silver frame as an offset to the white then adhered the frame with foam tape. Then I started to arrange my flowers with foam tape. I glued the leaves directly. Since I pinched the tips of the leaves, that added to the dimension and I didn't need extra foam tape to adhere them.
For the sentiment, I used Just Because Stamp Set and adhered it in an arched way.
I followed the same steps to create the second card, just changed the layout.
Here is a closer look at the stencil impression.
