Video: Altering Word Dies

by Therese Calvird

Hi there, it's Therese and it's time for another card and video.

Today's project is all about altering word dies. I wanted to use the ‘You' from the Thinking of You Die and you can see how I used it in the video below.

https://altenewblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Altenew-Leaf-Canopy-Thinking-of-You-Therese-Calvird-card-video-1-copy.jpgThen I added a shadow using Jet Black Cardstock. I used the Leaf Canopy Stamp Set for my focal image and two-tone stamped this using Dew Drops and Bamboo Crisp Dye Ink.

I decided to film the process.

Lovely card! And thanks for the tips on altering sentiments – I’ve been using multiple copies, but I’m definitely going to try it with the fun foam.

I have used fun foam for ages now and find it so much easier, but the trick is to leave the fun foam die cut in place and adhere the cardstock one on top, wait for it to dry a bit and then remove it as one piece. Have fun!

Very pretty Therese. I don’t know about cutting the single word out of the die tho, I’m pretty shaky sometimes. lol Thanks for sharing with us.

I have been making a lot more CAS designs at the moment, I’ve really been enjoying more simple designs but I’m sure that will change again soon.
