Video: Adore You Stamp Set

by Lilith Eeckels

Hello, it's Lilith once again with a new layout and process video. For today's post I decided to work with the Adore You Stamp Set and to use a “watercolor technique”.

Thank you3

I started by taking some white watercolor paper and added some water too it. Then I took an acrylic block and applied some ink to it. I used the new Warm & Cozy Crisp Inks.

For the background I picked one of the patterned papers from the Reflection Scrapbook Collection. To tone it down I drew half a heart onto some white cardstock and cut it out with a craft knife. I then mirrored the image to create a heart. I distressed the edges a bit to add texture and detail.

Once the watercolor paper was dry I fussy cut out the flowers with my scissors, but you could use the Adore You Coordinating Die Set if you have it .

The two design principles which I use almost all the time is the rule of three and the visual triangle. I placed three clusters of flowers over the layout in a triangle. This creates flow, balance and guides the eye over all parts of the design.

Thank you2 A couple of gold touches finish off the layout, as do some ink splashes. To create the gold dots I simply took some gold glitter tape from Altenew and placed it onto some paper and then I punched out a couple of tiny circles.

You can see how this layout came together in HD on You Tube or below:
