Hello and Happy 4th of July, Altenew friends! This is Virginia. I have three fun projects to share with one of our brilliant paper packs “Blushing Blooms”. This April, I did the Altenew “Make & Take” at our ScrapFest here in Ontario, Canada. I have quite a lot of paper strips leftover from the craft show. I decided that this is a good chance to challenge myself to make good use of the gorgeous paper strips. So here we go!
I am using “Forever in Love Stamp& Die Bundle” for all of the projects. This is a great way to combine stamps, dies, and patterned paper to create a set of cards.
First, I used the strips of paper to create a unique background. Each piece of paper is curated to be matching within each collection. Therefore, it is safe to mix them up.
I adhered the paper strips with Altenew Glue Tape onto a piece of copy paper. I then stamped the “Forever in Love” image in Fresh Leaf Crisp Dye Ink. The Sentiment Strips Stamp Set provides the perfect sentiment.
My next card was also created in a similar manner as the first. This time, I used the smallest Nesting Labels Die Set to create the sentiment banner.
For my 3rd card, I created a one-of-kind paper-weaved background. I stamped the sentiment YOU with Ombre Alpha Stamp Set in Enchanted Gold Pigment Ink.
This was such a fun card to make. All you need is to start with the criss-cross design and gradually build your pattern. I also split the floral image to show off the paper-woven background.
I hope that you like my fun and easy projects with patterned paper. Perhaps you want to go and play with your stamps and patterned paper after this?

These are beautiful….love all three. I agree with Virginia that it’s fun to use scraps of beautiful paper to create a card. I always feel so righteous afterward. lol!
Great ideas, Virginia, with beautiful results! Thanks for the awesome inspiration!
Love your creative patterned paper cards. I keep scraps, but end up shuffling them around as I don’t know how to use them. These are really good ideas. Want to try the woven background idea.
What a great idea! I get so hung up on stamping onto plain cardstock that I forget about this option! Lovely cards.
I am into stamping or die cutting or blending or simply just using my stash of patterned paper in my recent creations. I know we can create our own pattern on plain cardstock or paper but every so often we get attracted to patterned papers, and we cannot resist it!
Love the cards and what a great way to use up some scraps!
Fabulous ways to
make the cards!

Lovely cards and sure we can all use tips on how to combine stamps and dies we already have. Thank you.
Wow, these are fun to look at!!! I’m inspired to try these techniques with my scraps (I like to keep the scraps with the original paper pack). I would love to see this tutorial in a video… :) Thank you!
I haven’t done paper weaving in a long time, but you’ve made me think I should try it again! Love the other 2 cards where the scraps resulted in uniquely beautiful die cuts!
Great cards!
Beautiful card designs.
very cleverly done Virginia. You never cease to amaze me with your creativity.
These scrap papers turned to be small works of art. I loved them all. And I love that these beautiful papers were not just thrown away….Great job!!!
