Hello!
Svitlana is here today sharing two layer holiday card, one layer of which is not-bulk shaker layer, and another is just a simple card.
To start off I made an A2 side folding card base out of Pale Gray cardstock. Then a rectangle window was cut out of the front part of the base. I heat embossed the top layer of the tree from Sketched Evergreen stamp set onto a sheet of heat resistant plastic using silver powder. Which was adhered into the card base window.
I added some sequins mix onto the plastic and adhered another plastic sheet on top using strong double sided tape. I also added several silver sequins onto the front part of the card base.
To mask off adhesive that was seen through plastic – I glued a frame on top, made out of the same cardstock.
I created a top folding card base out of Classic Crest Solar White cardstock a bit smaller then A2 size and adhered it inside of the gray card base. On the front part of the card I stamped bottom and middle layers of Sketched Evergreen using Desert Night and Dusk inks. The part of the sentiment from Halftone Holidays Stamp Set was stamped below the tree using Desert Night inks. Halftone Christmas word from the same set was stamped onto Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and cut out using coordinating die.
And I also added several silver sequins on this layer too.
The inside part of this layer is where you write your greeting.
So the first layer of this card is all shiny and sparkly and silver. With some blue tree picking from behind. And then when you open it – you have one more card, before get to greeting itself :)
I like this Sketched Evergreen set in particular as each layer of the tree can be used not only together but each one separately. Giving different yet finished results.
Hope you're having a great day and are on track with tour holiday cardmaking :)

Beautiful – love how the dark blue Sketched Evergreen image comes through on the silvery top layer image! What a very lovely, unique card, Svitlana!

This is really magical! I love the blue tree inside and the layering keeps that part a secret until you open it. So wonderful, thanks for sharing this.

Thank you, Kathleen!
I just spotted this on IG and had to come over to say how amazing I think it is! You’ve done such a creative design and the effect is visually stunning. I love how the inner Christmas tree layer pops up to allow a message underneath… a hugely impactful detail. Awesome card! Thanks so much for the inspiration :)
Thank you, Esther!
This card was hard to take photo of to show how it looks. Hopefully the idea is clear.
And it was relatively fast to make.
OMG Svitlana ! It is absolutely breathtaking ! This is such a sophisticated and elegant card ! I love, love it ! You’re so creative ! The combo colours you chose are just fabulous ! Thanks so much for sharing and for inspiring !
Thank you a lot, Izzy!
WOW neat card, love it!
Thank you!
Absolutely wonderful :-)
Thank you!
I love how you did this card! It’s so unique and pretty and I just got this stamp so I can do this. I must be the only person in the whole wide world who loves shaker cards but have never made one. I hope I can make one as nice as yours. I can’t wait to use my new stamp set!
Thank you a lot!
I should say that I made too little shakers, considering how hot they’re right now.
It takes a bit more time to make, but they’re worth it. Recipients always wow when receive a shaker card :)
Oh Svitlana, this is gorgeous!
Thank you, Teresa!
So beautiful!
Thank you, Laura!
Lovely, but how do you ensure the inside tree lines up with the tree embossed on the acetate?
Thank you, Diana!
I used MISTI for aligning stamps. I just first stamped on a scrap piece of paper so see that stamp is placed correctly (if not – I would move it a bit and then check on a scrap paper as well). But this particular design is very forgiving.
Fantastic card and very clever design! Beautiful!
Thank you a log, Olga!
Wow!! Gorgeous!!
Thank you!
