Two Holiday CAS Cards with Die-Cuts: So Beautiful!

by Aga

Hello, everyone! This is Aga here today and I would like to share with you two clean and simple cards created mainly with these die sets: Virginia Rose 3D and Layered Floral Elements.

Altenew Virginia Rose 3D Aga 1

I started out by die cutting my floral elements from both sets. Next, I used Altenew's Artist Markers Set A and Set B to color the die-cuts in. I also coated the red berries with glossy accents for some nice shine and dimension. Once I had all my elements ready, I started my first card. I gathered the elements together to create a wreath shape.

To finish my card, I stamped a sentiment from Happy Holidays Stamp Set and used a circle die-cut from Halftone Circles Nesting Die Set.

After I finished my first card, I realized I still had some elements left that could be used for another card. This is how my second card was created. I also had a negative panel die-cut from a previous project sitting in my stash, so I used it as the main focus and added the remaining floral elements to decorate it.

To finish the card, I stamp a small sentiment from the Happy Holidays Stamp Set.

This is my last post this year, so I would love to wish you a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year! See you in 2020!

So pretty. I especially love how you did the berries. They seem real.

I absolutely LOVE how, with the coloring and glossy accents, you brought such dimension and texture to the cutouts! At first glance I thought the floral accents were standing up from the card by a half inch or so, but then the closer view at almost edge-on showed otherwise. Wow!

Very beautiful simple cards that look more complex to put together Also, a great way to put leftovers to use. I thought that the second card had a bird on the front instead of a flower bud. Lovely.

Very lovely, particularly the bright true colors but with so much white. Stunning.
