How to Create Bright Floral Cards with Craft Your Life Project Kit: Watercolor Flowers
The process was so fun and simple that I managed to create two cards at the same time.
I started by stamping my floral clusters with Permanent Black Crisp Dye Ink. For the first card, I stamped it four times to create a floral background. Next, I used the coordinating stencils to apply Baby Pink, Fuchsia, and Magenta Crisp Dye Inks, along with Wisteria, Hydrangea, and Ultraviolet Crisp Dye Inks for the flowers. For the leaves, I used Limeade, Lime, Fresh Leaf, and Emerald Crisp Dye Inks.
To finish my card, I added a sentiment from the set, cut out with a coordinating die.
For my next watercolor flowers card, I used the second floral cluster from the set and stamped it once in the middle. Next, I used the coordinating stencils and exactly the same color inks as for the first card.
I hope you try coloring with stencils. This technique looks fantastic, and it’s so effortless. I'm finding it to be very relaxing, too!
Designer's Tips!
Stamp the floral clusters using black ink, then die cut using the matching dies and mount them over colorful backgrounds to create easy and gorgeous cards.
1 Product, Multiple Ways!
Before you go, here are a few card ideas featuring this new project kit!
Use it with your fave border or frame stamp in your stash. Nathalie used the border stamp/die new Lotus Frame Bundle in her card above.
Use it as-is! Laurie's CAS card above utilized all the elements in the kit – stamp, die, stencils, and embossing folder – and the result is simply stunning!
Not a fan of stenciling? Color it in with your fave alcohol markers! See how LauraJane also used the markers to add splatter-like dots on her card's background? Genius!
This kit isn't called “watercolor flowers” for no reason! So, watercolor away!
Create your own watercolor art easily with these images – just like Erum did!
