3 Easy Card Making Tips to Make Your Sentiments Pop

by Sveta Fotinia

Hello, everyone! Today, I'm going to share with you my three new cards using the same Label Love Stamp Set for all three projects.LabelLovestampset

Card 1

Let's start with the simplest card. I chose the pattern paper with a bright yet light and almost mono color design. This design is from Sweet Moments 6×6 Paper Pack.

LabelLovestampset01All I needed to do was to stamp a few sentiment labels in black. I stamped them in a free way in the center to highlight the fun mood of the card. Bold black labels look so cool and eye-catching on a yellow background!LabelLovestampset02 LabelLovestampset03

Card 2

For the second card, I decided to highlight the sentiment with a floral composition.LabelLovestampset WildFlowerDoodles01First, I created a mask for the sentiment label and then stamped a floral composition using Wildflower Doodles Stamp Set. I went with the black and gold color combination, choosing black for the flowers and gold for the sentiment.LabelLovestampset WildFlowerDoodles02My idea was to create a one-layer card and to stamp the sentiment inside the composition. I did it, but….I wanted to make a second layer of ink. However, I hadn't noticed that my card changed place, so I failed. What can we do in such a situation? Well, I stamped the sentiment on a piece of cardstock and fussy cut it and adhered it over the failed stamping. What I learned while cardmaking is that there is (almost) always a way to fix a mistake. Sometimes, solutions brings great ideas, so don't be afraid to think again. Card 3

And the third card took the longest to make, but it was very easy.LabelLovestampset04I decided to stamp over the whole card with the labels, but to make the one sentiment pop up, I highlighted it with color. I stamped the “missing you” sentiment with Sunkissed Crisp Dye Ink and all other sentiments with two shades of green: Forest Glades and Evergreen Crisp Dye Inks.

LabelLovestampset05First, I stamped the highlighted sentiment and then followed with all the others around it, covering the entire card.
