Hi, friends!
Svitlana is here. Today I want to share a card with a mystical or spiritual, if you will, feeling. I made it using a beautiful lotus flower from the Lotus Stamp Set and an incredible moon from To The Moon Stamp Set. I have had this idea in my mind for quite a while, after seeing a similar picture on some poster. And I promise you it wasn't planned, but I think it's my third in a row monochromatic card I made for Altenew. Haha.
Let's start!
I started by stamping the moon and lotus using the Starlight and Turquoise Crisp Dye Inks onto a Solar White Cardstock. Both these stamps have a bottom solid stamp, but I skipped it as wanted them to be lighter. Next, I die-cut the moon using a circle die and hand cut the lotus image.
I cut a panel of 4″ x 5.25″ out of Solar White Cardstock. After that, I created masks out of a masking paper for both the moon and lotus and adhered them onto the panel. I then blended the Turquoise Crisp Dye Ink onto the bottom part of the panel. Next, I masked the bottom part with a painters tape and blended the Starlight Crisp Dye Ink onto the top part. And then I removed the masks and added some splatters of the Pure White Ink Spray.
Next, the panel was foam mounted onto a white card base and the moon and lotus were popped up onto it right above the corresponding masked area. I did this trick with masking the panel before ink blending to add more air and lightness to the card, which, by itself, is pretty bold and dramatic.
I white embossed a sentiment from the Thinking of You Stamp Set onto a strip of a Jet Black Cardstock using the Pure White Embossing Powder and popped it up onto the panel.
To finish off the card, I added several white crystals. I really like this particular set of blue inks (Deep Blue Seas). It gives kind of shining result, perfect for night sky, sea or galaxy scenes.
Have a wonderful day!

Thank you!
How beautiful!
Thank you, Amy!
Svitlana, this is such a lovely card. Like the way you’ve used the globe and lotus above and below the sentiment–almost like the lotus holding the globe! tfs
Thank you a lot, Helen!
Very nice! I think the colors are spot on. The moon is fantastic, I have it have it!
Thank you, Sharon!
This is a beautiful card and so well designed! I learn so much seeing you talented designers working with these multi-layered stamps. Leaving the bottom heaviest layer off, gives these a luminescence that is gorgeous!!
Thank you, Beverly!
