Hi, it's Therese and I am back with another edition of Take 2 with Therese.
Today, I am sharing two cards using Altenew's Weekend Doodles Stamp Set. I decided to add color in two different ways.
I started with the Summer Garden 6×6 Paper Pack and some paper piecing.
I also added some splatters with some Altenew Ink Sprays.
And a Mega Friend sentiment as well as one from the Flower Vine Stamp Set.
On my second card, I wanted to recreate the design but this time without the paper pack.
So this time I used the Altenew Watercolor 36 Pan Set to color the background and the flowers.
I stamped the sentiment ‘Hello' from the Mega Greetings Stamp Set in my fave new Obsidian Pigment Ink. and added some sequins to both designs.
You can see my video here or watch it in HD on YouTube.
Hope you are having a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by.

Thank you Therese! These are gorgeous and I appreciate your tips for the paper piercing and the watercoloring. I do love the looks of the Weekend Doodles stamp set, but don’t own it yet! :)
This technique would work with many of the Altenew flower sets and it’s so fun to do. Thanks so much for your lovely comments.
Beautiful cards and inspiration for making an easy but beautiful background to match anything we use as a focal image. In the States we commonly refer to the sprig of flowers as sprig but a twig would be the small tip of a branch, just woody. You really are fun to listen to and I enjoy your accent and happy talk. Thanks!
Yes, you are right ‘Sprig’ would have been perfect, where were you when I needed you? lol.
I am the lucky one as I have the Weekend Doodles stamp, a lovely person gave it to me as a gift, When I clicked on your blog and saw your color scheme, I thought “wow”. I love the colors you used on the stamps with your watercolor stripes!
It’s such a sweet stamp set, I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the colours, bright colours always make me very happy!
Lovely cards Therese! I love the fact that you tried to recreate the stripe from the set of papers, and it is beautiful. You make this look easy, so much so, that I can’t wait to try it. I have “twigs” that I’m going to try on printed paper as well. Thank you!
Thanks so much Joyce, it was fun to try and recreate it too!
Gorgeous cards, Therese. I loved to see the first one, I use to stamp a lot on design paper but somehow I colour them only the last few years. Thank you for showing this, I will certainly use my paper pack’s more after seeing this.
I am enjoying using the paper packs, I love the way that they coordinate and I don’t have to think too much lol.
Therese, as always I love your work! I love that you used a stamp on print paper. Absolutely lovely, and I am wanting this stamp set and paper!
Thanks so much!
