Hi, it's Therese and I am back with another edition of Take 2 with Therese.
Today I am sharing two ways to create a background using the Garden Picks 3D Die set.
I created my own flower colors using the Artist Markers and popped the images up on the front of a card covered with Moonrock Cardstock.
I used Golden Peach Embossing Powder to add a sentiment from the Sentiments & Quotes Stamp Set. Then I heat embossed this sentiment on some Forest Glades Cardstock.
My second card design uses an inlay die technique to have ‘less layers' on the card design. This time the background is Dark Gray Cardstock with Rouge flowers.
I added a Halftone Hello stamped and die-cut sentiment, as well as a sentiment strip from the You Are Stamp Set. These were both stamped in Charcoal Suit Crisp Dye Ink.
You can see my video here or watch it in HD on YouTube
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Beautiful cards !
Thank you Pooja
Gorgeous cards Therese, love them both. I think I would have tried to put only the veins on the white leafs of the second card, curious how that looks.
Thank you so much fro showing.
I think that it would look great! That’s the wonderful thing about layering dies (and stamps) I love that you can add as much or little as you want!
GORGEOUS cards!!!!
Thanks so much Maureen
Beautiful cards. Love this set!!!
I adore all the new 3D flower sets just released, but I think this one is so versatile, it can look modern or vintage’y.
WOW these are both so pretty but I m truly on the fence about card #2 on the white vs. green!
As my husband would say, if you can’t decide just make one of each lol.
Love both of these and the green leaves on the second card gets my vote. :)
I do like the green too, but maybe just maybe I ‘need’ to try the white version lol.
More awesome cards, Therese! I love both! I liked the white leaves better on the seconde card BEFORE I saw the title/sentiment. Then I liked it more with the green leaves! Gotta make me some of these cute flowers. Thanks for the GREAT tips about the sticky tape and how to use a throw away piece to make a second card. Wonderful idea and time saver for sure!
Thank you so very much, Crafty hugs, Therese
Those cards are gorgeous, Therese. On the second one, I personally like the green leaves. Altenew’s layered dies are really addictive. I have the Layered Floral Elements set and can’t stop playing with it. However, I spend a lot of time trying to match card stock colors, so I’m thrilled to learn your hint for cutting them in white and coloring with markers. Thanks so much — this will save me time.
I love colouring the cardstock with watercolours too and this gives another totally different finished look, I just didn’t have time to ‘watch paint dry’ this day lol.
Beautiful work! You’ve inspired me!
Why thank you Kirsty!
Therese you are the BOMB! These cards are amazing. I cannot wait till my dies arrive.
Such wonderful ideas and great tips, and yes ‘vintagey’ is a word for me. Keep up the great work.
Altenew, you are fantastic too, for all the fabulous products you keep bringing to us.
Thank you for sharing

ooh, I have a whole dictionary of words and love to share lol.
Wow you made these dies pop. What beautiful cards and colors. Thanks.
Thank you so very much Shona
Stunning Therese. I have been dithering about whether to get this set – now I think I will!
I know if you decide to get it you will have as much fun as I am having with it.
Thanks for a great video. Love both cards but I do like the second card better with the green leaves. Thanks for the tip about coloring the card stock before you cut out the tiny elements! That will make life so much easier. I love that we can just cut everything from white and then color them as I just don’t have room to store much colored card stock.
I love to create my own coloured cardstock, but I am afraid I still like to have coloured cardstock in my stash too, that way I’m ready for everything lol.
Love the cards, the Dark Grey is my Fav, and I like the green leaves….
Thanks so much Pam
Both your cards are just gorgeous Therese. I love this die set and can’t wait to get my hands on it.Your inspiration has certainly inspired me a lot.❤️
I had so much fun creating these two cards and still had many ideas on how to use these dies, I am loving the 3D flowers and find them quite addictive lol. Thanks so much for your lovely comments.
Both are so gorgeous, I do like the inlay but not sure if I like the white or green leaves more, either way is great!
