Stamps, Paper and Glitter Tape! All In The New Day Card Kit!

by Tasnim

Good morning! Tasnim here, and today I will be sharing a few cards using the goodies from our New Day card kit. This kit is jam packed with supplies, and sometime that can be overwhelming! To help me get creative, I decided to focus on some of the elements in the kit- the pattern papers, the frame, star and heart dies, and the golden glitter tape for some sparkle.

The first card is super simple and easy to make. It is great for making a quick last-minute card, like the one I had to make for a graduation party over the weekend where I simply switched the sentiment to ‘congratulations'.

The sentiment is from the Floral Garden stamp set included in the kit.

In this card I used the Bamboo Rose stamp set to gold emboss the rose outlines on one of the pattern papers in the kit. I cut out these gorgeous flowers and arranged them on a white card base.

To make the glitter stars, I first laid out several strips of glitter tape side by side on a piece of card stock, then used the die in the kit to cut out the stars. I used one of the colored card stock in the kit for my card base. This one is simple, but with a lot of sparkle!

4.0 New Day card kit

A variety of elements come together in this card. I started with the frame die, and cut out three white frames. The frames were then glued together to create a raised dimension. I attached a piece of pattern paper behind the frame, and used one of the embossed Bamboo roses along with a butterfly from the kit stamp set to decorate the frame. For the backdrop, I stamped the silhouette flowers in light warm gray (morning frost)

This last one was inspired by a beautiful card made by the talented Jocelyn Olson. Well, I pretty much copied the pattern since I loved it so!

I hope you found some inspiration today. I thoroughly enjoyed making these cards, and I still have a few more ideas which I wasn't able to execute for the sake of time. Perhaps I will be back again soon focusing on some of the other elements in the kit :)

Happy crafting!
