Stamping For Autism Awareness Blog Hop

We are so excited to be participating in this year's Autism Awareness Blog Hop!

Veronica Zalis organized the blog hop to raise autism awareness and to celebrate all those with autism and those whose lives have been touched by autism. When she contacted us, we knew right away that we wanted to join in!

Some of you may know that I teach elementary music, which means I see hundreds of students each week. I am so fortunate to teach every student in my school! I have to say that my students with autism are among the sweetest and it's an honor to see them grow from year to year.

For my card today, I started with a piece of 4.25″x5.5″ cardstock. I blended Warm Sunshine ink over the Layered Kaleidoscope Stencil A, followed by Coral Berry ink over Layered Kaleidoscope Stencil B. I focused the second layer of ink in the center of the panel only, inking more heavily in the middle.

Then, I stamped out a little dude from the Ninja Invasion Stamp Set and cut him out with the coordinating die. I adhered him to the inked panel with foam tape so that his foot lined up with the pink burst in the center. I love how it looks like he's got a powerful kick!

The sentiment was created with the ASL Love Stamp Set and each letter was cut out with its coordinating die. I popped these up onto a strip of cardstock and then adhered the strip with foam tape as well. To finish the card, I mounted the panel onto an A2 sized white card.
