Stamp Focus: Wild Hibiscus

by jocelynolson1

Hi! It's Jocelyn on the blog today.

For my stamp focus, I'm sharing three ways to use the new Wild Hibiscus set. It's such a gorgeous set!

Best Mom

I heat embossed two of the flowers from the Wild Hibiscus with clear embossing powder and then watercolored over the images. To emphasize the edges, I colored over the borders.

Best Mom

I fussy cut both flowers and popped them up on the panel. For the sentiment, I used one of the sentiments in the Wild Hibiscus set in silver ink.

Best Mom

For my next card, I used the set two ways:

Forever Grateful

First, I stamped a background in gold ink. I used several of the stamps in the set:

Forever Grateful

Next, I stamped one of the longer flowers in Altenew's Jet Black ink. I heat embossed another sentiment from the Wild Hibiscus set on patterned paper, and then I added a few gold embellishments.

Forever Grateful

For my last project, I made a tag:

Appreciate You

It has been a while since I used my colored pencils and even longer since I used them on kraft. These flowers look great on kraft! After I colored the flower, I fussy cut the image. Since there weren't borders around the entire flower, I had to approximate. ;)

I stamped a third sentiment from the Wild Hibiscus set. I added the chipboard star and washi tape to add a little sparkle.

Appreciate You

Thanks so much for stopping by! I can't wait to see what you do with the Wild Hibiscus set. Be sure to link up your projects in the Altenew gallery or tag @altenewllc on Instagram.

Thanks, Christine! I’m pretty rusty coloring on kraft, so it’s great to hear you liked the tag! :)
