Hi everyone. Svitlana is here focusing on the new stamp set from July release – Tulip.
This set is so beautiful (as you can tell about all Altenew flower sets) and versatile. I like that it has outline images, so only outlines can be stamped. You can create beautiful shading with color layering stamps and you can mix and match.
For the first card I wanted to make a row of tulips of different colors and types. It required a lot of masking, a lot! I ruined several pieces before finally got the one that I was happy with and that didn't have so many flaws (like uneven or not precise stamping).
I used almost every Altenew ink I have, as I wanted to have a tulip rainbow. I finished off this card by adding a simple sentiment from the same set using Jet Black ink and adhering several clear droplets.
The idea for the second card was in my mind for a while. I wanted to make a design reminding those herbarium pictures ones that are so popular now. When flowers are laid down in different directions. I decided to go monochromatic with this card, and the color choice here is my favorite – deep blue one. For some tulips I only stamped the outline image and the tip layer, skipping the bottom one. That way they look like white tulips with blue veins (or whatever this thing is called).
I stamped all flowers on a white panel, added a sentiment, several sequins and gems.
And the third card is the simplest one. First I stamped several flowers on Kraft card base with Dark Chocolate ink using only outline images. Then I took those spoiled pieces I had left from the first card (I mentioned it above), cut them out with my scissors and adhered them to the card. Some I adhered flat using liquid adhesive, for some I used thick clear drops. And a simple sentiment finished off the card.
Here are three ways you can use this set. But there are much more possibilities with this set, it's to die for!
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Wow, three beautiful Cards. The first is lovely for its colour range, I don’t think I would dare to try copying it, lol. I love the layout of the second and the white and blue tulips. I like the colours and layers of the third and what a great way to cover mistakes.
Thank you a lot, Lynn! My usual style is not so colorful, but in this case I just had a blast :)

Hi Svitlana,
Your cards turned out so beautiful! I love the colors, the layouts, the imagination, they are just so beautiful. Tulips are one of my favorite flowers.
Thank you, Christine!
These are just beautiful! Your art greatly compliments that stamp set. Thank you for sharing
Thank you a lot!
Hi again, I wanted to ask you what color card stock did you use on the 2 cards that look like a light blue?
Thank you so much for sharing!
I used there Neenah Solar White. It’s a crisp white cardstock, it looks bluish because of reflection my blue props make on it. It’s kind of tricky to take photo of white cards to show true white. Also when I edit I tend to correct white balance to the cooler side :)
Your cards are fantastic! Thanks for the inspiration.
Thank you, Tona!
Gaaaah! Your coloring is meticulous and lovely. The way you’ve managed to make each card so special is a tribute to your enormous talent.

More stunning cards! I love the colors of the blue tulips!! Who makes the clear liquid glass drops, & where did you find them??? I loved them on your spider web card, but can’t seem to find them. Your talent is a sensational inspiration…thank you!!!
Thank you, Katia!
Are you referring to the ones I used on the first card? They’re not liquid, these are clear stops (I think they’re acrylic, not glass). I got mine from Pretty Pink Posh (they’re also sold on Simon). They are called Clear Droplets and come in two sizes. Also Papertrey Ink has similar product – Rainstones.
But they’re hot! You have to hunt them and once find them in stock – buy a lifetime supply, because nobody knows when they will be available the next time :))))
Love all the different tulip looks! Pretty color!
Thank you a lot, Jan!

This really wasn’t one of the new stamp sets that particularly resonated with me, but I have to say I just love what you’ve done with it! It’s hard to even pick a favorite, although I think you recovered from the masking crisis beautifully!
