Stamp Focus: Be Strong – Video!

by Therese Calvird

Hi it's Therese and today we are focusing on the Be Strong Stamp Set.  This set is so much fun, it's full of great images and positive encouraging sentiments that could be used for so many different occasions.

6x8 Be Strong 1

For my first design I decided to focus on one small image from the stamp set and colour a repeated pattern, so I could then die cut some big Bold Alphabet Dies to spell out the word ‘party'.

Lostinpaper - Altenew - Be Strong - A Splash of Color - Celebrate - Bold Alphabet (card) 1 copy

For the background I stamped A Splash of Color Stamp Set with Sea Glass Crisp Dye Ink. I then popped up the letters on fun foam onto the front of the card. To add the remaining portion of the sentiment I used the mini stamp set called Celebrate Stamp Set.

My second card was also quite simple.  I stamped the string of lights and the two potted cactus images and coloured them. Using the Altenew Artist Markers and Copic markers which worked beautifully together.
Lostinpaper - Altenew - Be Strong - Faux Veneer (card) 1 copy

I did some masking and then blended the background with Altenew Crisp dye Inks (Limestone / Sunkissed / Buttercream / Blush).  Then I stamped, heat embossed and die cut my own Faux Veneer sentiment speech bubble.

For my final design I masked off some cactus images to group them together in the centre of a panel.  To add ‘A Splash of Color‘ I stamped over the images with some Crisp Dye Inks Bamboo / Parrot / Olive / Sunkissed / Orange Cream and Ocean Waves.

Lostinpaper - Altenew - Be Strong - A Splash of Color (card video) 1 copy

The sentiment is white heat embossed on some Altenew Jet Black Cardstock. And then for fun I added some black licorice sprinkles.

I echo Virginia’s comments. This card is really super and your use of black card stock for the sentiment is excellent.

All the cards look so beautiful. I love the new Ink Pens, especially the fine tip

I love these cards, I don’t own any Altenew products yet as I’ve only just discovered them but they are on my wish list.
