Stamp focus: Sewing Very Happy and Sewing Labels

by Sveta Fotinia

Hello everyone! How is your weekend going? Today Sveta will showcase two of our newest stamp sets: Sewing Very Happy Stamp Set and Sewing Labels Stamp Set. They are both sewing and handmade themed as you already guessed.

Both of these sets are amazingly cozy and inspiring. It's the first time when stamps pushed me to create something that I've never did – embroidery! Areas of use amaze me as it will be extremely useful for lot of handmaders starting from tailors and ending with floral shops. All the labeles and sweet cards that can be done with these stamps will make clients feel so special and crafters brand so professional.

So here is my first project with embroidery in a wooden hoop. I found out that I can use stamps to create a guidelines for my embroidery. Using the Crisp Dye Inks will make it easy to wash off all guidelines with water when work is complete. I stamped “Happy” sentiment from Sewing Very Happy stamp set and then embroidered the word with a gold thread. I liked how our Lava Rock Crisp Dye Ink looks like on a natural linen itself and made the second hoop with just stamping.dsc_0521web dsc_0523web

For my next project  I decided to make a rustic, simple yet beautiful wrap for a flower bouquet. I stamped a garden fresh rose label with Espresso Crisp Dye Ink on a craft paper and added range of little buttons using Sand Dunes Crisp Dye Ink.

I liked to stamp on a fabric so I made a few fabric labels using Jet Black Crisp Dye Ink and a Crop-A-Dile to make eyelets for a twine.

And the last project – is the most traditional I'd say – card. I heat embossed tiny branches from Sewing Very Happy Stamp Set with the white embossing powder for a background and the sentiment from Hello Sunshine Stamp Set with the gold embossing powder. Then I used Volcano Lake Crisp Dye Ink to color my background using water brush.

I had lot of fun working with them and extremely satisfied with these sets. I'm sure you will be sew very happy to have them both in your stash!

Hope you enjoyed today's post and thanks for stopping by!

I took sewing lessons from Singer when I was in grade school I think and Home Ec. in high school. I made a few things that I sewed, but I didn’t have a lot of luck with them. I was bullied in school yet my home Ec teacher held up my mistake and told everyone it was mine & I did it wrong. Patterns were not made for me because I could never really understand what they were trying to tell me to do. I’d get stuck on a pattern and no one could help me. I gave up. However, I do make things like cookies, rubber stamped clothing, and lots of handmade things so I like the stamps for handmade things. I wish I could get just those stamps. Thanks for showing us all we could do with these stamps and for making such great stamps.
