Stamp Focus: Recollections

by Sveta Fotinia

Hello everyone! Today I'm so excited to share with you my ideas with beautiful Recollections Stamp Set. This stamp set is amazingly beautiful. So I'm sure that lot of you have this set in your wish list. I especially like the quotes!

For my first card I used partial stamping technique. I stamped the floral image (half of it) twice to create a wreath. To erase unnecessary ink I used a wet cloth and it turned out perfectly. I went with warm color palette of green, brown and beige on a Spicy Yogurt Cardstock. As well as paints I used glitter on some flowers. I love the way this looks and think I should use glitter for coloring more often. As it gives a special touch to the final image.  The sentiment is also a very beautiful and artistic.

For my second card I was inspired by blue and white porcelain ornaments. I stamped a part of a frame from both sides of my card and blended some blue ink inside each. Such composition gave an opportunity to make a focal point of the sentiment. To do this I put the sentiment strip on a foam adhesive for a stronger effect.

For the final card I used the same technique I used for one of my release cards (you can check it here). First, I made white embossing on a Real Gray Cardstock  and then used Industrial Diamond Crisp Dye Ink with a little displacement to achieve shadow look. It's so simple but so eye catching and elegant?

Until I saw your examples today, I wasn’t too sure about adding this set to my collection; now, it is a must-have…your cards are wonderful. In the stamp set, I especially love the quote about ‘sisters’.

Beautiful cards!! I always love the look of white heat embossing on a dark bacķ but your shadow stamping adds that little extra. So lovely! This stamp set has such awesome sentiments and I would buy it for that reason alone!
