Stamp Focus: Ornamental Flower Stamp Set + Video!

by Therese Calvird

Hi! It's Therese and it's time for another Stamp Focus! I have a beautiful set called Ornamental Flower Stamp Set and its coordinating die set with three projects to share.

6x8 Ornamental Flower

My first card is monochromatic, with some tone on tone stamping on the background – a Pale Gray Cardstock panel. I used the Thinking of You Stamp Set for the sentiment.

I was able to frame my design with the Our Family Frame Die. I love the subtle look of the embossing on this.

My second project has a similar gray color palette with a pop of blue in the center of the flowers.  Then, I used the negative space of the Caps Bold Alpha Dies for my sentiment, which was cut from Lagoon Cardstock.

Using Pure White embossing powder, I heat embossed the remainder of the sentiment from the  Quilled Elegance Stamp Set on some Dark Gray Cardstock and popped this up on top.

My final card and video used many of the new release ink colors and it has a bright fun design.

This time, I used a sentiment from the Adore You Stamp Set.

WOW Therese, these are ALL absolutely stunning cards. The Peony Bouquet has always been my #1 Altenew fave but I have to say, this one is equally as beautiful. Thanks for sharing this video, you have certainly inspired me to think outside of the box in terms of flower colours. Love this!

I really love all your cards. The one in the video is my favorite, however. You make the multiple layering look so simple and it is easier with the Misti. Thank goodness for your videos and the Misti! :)

Definitely easier with the MISTI and I figure while I am making one I might as well stamp out a few extra, then i have some in my stash for another design ready to go. thanks so much for your visit and lovely comments

Therese I am glad to see that you stamp all the images that you need in one go. I cannot think of anything worse than having to get all my stamping equipment out each time I start a new project especially when the image being used is the same. Great card love the alternative colours used! :O)

It saves sooo much time to stamp multiples especially with a stamp positioning tool like the MISTI, and the added dies made it a breeze. Have a great day!

I’m back again. I’ve just looked at your tone on tone, and you do it so well. I’m praying that one day I’ll be lucky enough to be chosen for one of those gifts that Altenew give out every now and then. I HAVE TO HAVE THAT big alphabet die set!!!! LOL. I love the effect. My problem is keeping all these fabulous hints in my head, hehehehe. This is what happens when you get old. Am waiting on delivery of the 3d peony die set and can’t wait for that. Thanks again. Sorry for rambling. Bev.

I am seriously addicted to all the alphabet die sets and the big numbers are quickly becoming a fave too lol. Crossed fingers it comes your way real soon x

Beautiful cards!! Love the tone on tone of the first one and the pop of colour on the second one. I also really like the card layout (card design??) you went with on each of these cards too. And the atypical colour in the last card is so different that I just have to like it! This is another gorgeous floral set by Altenew and you’ve really shown us just how beautiful it is
