Hello, Altenew friends! This is Virginia here. Are you loving the new release yet? I am excited to share my Stamp Focus projects with Mod Vases Stamps & Die & Mask Stencil Bundle from yesterday's release. Altenew is well-known for stunning floral stamps and the new Mod Vases set is your new must-have for all of your floral arrangements.
This set comes with a good variety of shapes and sizes of vases. The designs and shapes are absolutely modern and trendy! You can use this set in so many creative ways with all kinds of techniques: masking, pattern-stamping, color-layering, etc.
With my projects, I hope that you will see how VASE-rtile this stamp & die bundle is! I am using the lovely complementary Vase Fillers Stamp Set for all of my sample cards.
Let's start with the larger vase in this set. I love the two-tone option (Mountain Mist and Sea Glass) from the stamp set and created a colorful vase. Imagine this – you can also emboss this to create metallic vases!
To take it up a notch, I stamped one of the fern images in Tide Blue (Vase Fillers) onto the vase stamp. I then stamped the fern (on the vase) onto the paper. This is the so-called “stamp-kissing” technique. You can, however, stamp a floral image directly over the vase and will still achieve a similar result. Or you can use a stencil and apply ink over the vase to add patterns.
The popped-up flower arrangement looks fabulous over the stenciled background (Feeling Dotty Stencil). The sentiment is from Watercolor Halftone Stamp Set.
My next card is all about the masking. With the coordinating masks (Mod Vases Mask Stencils), I applied Silver Stone first and then Sunray, Wisteria, and Arctic. If you love ink blending, you can simply apply inks with the masks and die cut the vases!
Next, I stamped the flowers over the tall vase and this was easily done thanks to the masks.
TIP! When stenciling, do take advantage of the positive AND negative side of the masked stencils.
To add some shine, I decided to emboss the edges of the panel in Antique Silver Embossing Powder.
The sentiment from the dainty Framed Thanks Die is perfect for this!
For my third interpretation for the Mod Vases, I created a delicate vase by using the new Ornate Cover Die.
I started out by applying a blue gradient on cardstock. I then placed the Ornate Cover Die over the paper and ran the vase die through the Mini Blossom Die Cutting Machine. This resulted in a blue delicate vase!
With this intricate vase, I arranged all of my stamped and die-cut pieces from Vase Fillers. Thanks to the blue/white, shape and ornate pattern, the vase reminds me of Porcelain China from the 19th Century.
For the background, I added Vellum Translucent Paper over the fern to simulate the “Pressed Leaf Effect”. Isn't this fun?
As you can see, I can go on and on with the Mod Vases Stamp & Die and Mask Stencils. I have included one extra card that I created for yesterday's blog hop. The Tartan Background Stamp compliments the stamped floral design so beautifully.
I bet you are now brimming with ideas with the Mod Vases Stamp Set. I can't wait to see the creations that you'll come up with this set! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Looks like a great set for all of our bouquets. I really like the look of the vase fillers! I really like all of your bouquets, but the card with your Poecelian China vase is so elegant. The fern behind the vellum, the silver thread, plus your lovely bouquet add up to a very fancy card!
