Hi there, it’s Lydia here with you today, and I'm very happy to be sharing with you a Stamp Focus on one of the new release sets ‘Holiday Wishes‘.
This is such an amazing set with sentiments ranging from religious to sweet, there are also some sentiments in the set that can be used throughout the year. This is one set that you will be able to use for years to come.
In my first card I used one of the larger type verse from the set,
To start a created the background on a piece of white cardstock- I stamped images from Poinsettia and Pine using a light ink and then coloured the images. Once coloured I stamped over the images again using VersaMark and gold heat embossed the images. Then added some gold splatters for interest.
I added this panel to some gold paper before adding this to my card base.
I then stamped the sentiment from Holiday Wishes and heat set this with gold embossing powder onto an oval die-cut. I matted this onto a gold oval die-cut before adding to the centre of the stamped panel using foam tape.
My second card has more of a clean feel yet using the same two stamp sets plus Winter Cardinal,
First I created the wreath by drawing a circle into place on a white panel, I then stamped the small fir frond from Poinsettia And Pine around the circle using Forest Glades and Evergreen. Then I stamped pieces of the twig from Winter Cardinal using Espresso randomly around. I then added berries the same set using Velvet ink. I added I few details to the berries and twigs with a white gel pen.
I stamped one of the sentiments from Holiday Wishes in the centre of the wreath. To add to this I stamped ‘Merry Christmas' from the same set onto some vellum and added this above the rest of the stamped sentiment.
To finish the card I added a red twine bow before adding this panel onto a brown wood grain card base.
My third and final card also features the same three sets and is accompanied by a video,
I stamped and heat embossed one of the larger sentiments from Holiday Wishes onto a die-cut label shape. I added some fir fronds to the bottom of this panel using Poinsettia and Pine with Forest Glades and Evergreen.
I stamped the cardinal from Winter Cardinal using Rouge, Crimson, Velvet, Grapevine and Jet Black. I just love how realistic this guy looks!
I cut the bird using the coordinating dies and the branch from the set I cut from brown wood grain paper.
To finish the card I added my pieces to a white wood grain card base with foam tape and finished with a black glossy eye.
For a full step-by-step on how I created this card please check out the video below.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed today's inspiration.
