Hello crafty friends, happy Thursday! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!! Today, I have three floral cards to share with you using so beautiful Happy Together stamp & die set.
For my first card, I created a loose watercolor card with solid flower image in the Happy Together set. I stamped flowers through second generation stamping, and then colored each flower using the same colors:
Red flower: Festive Berries & Fired Brick Distress inks
Pink flower: Abandoned Coral Distress ink
Yellow flower: Fossilized Amber Distress ink.
Next, I roughly brushed around the stamped flowers using a wet paint brush. Once the panel was completely dry, I stamped the sentiment on the bottom right corner of the panel using Permanent Black crisp ink.
For my second card, I created a clean and simple flower card. I stamped outlined flower on white card stock in black dye ink, colored it with several Artist Markers, and then die cut it with the matching die:
Flower: (light to dark) Sea Glass, Ocean Waves, Desert Night
Leaves: Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, Evergreen
Stem: Paper Bag, Dark Chocolate
For the background panel, I die cut the Striped Leaf Cover from white card stock, mounted it on the same white card base using foam tape. For the sentiment, I used the word “hugs” in the Script Words die set.
For my last card, I made a bunch of flowers. I stamped & watercolored flowers, then fussy cut them out. Before mounting watercolored flowers, I decorated the bottom part of the card with Gold Glitter Tape. I think it's the perfect mothers day card :D
Thank you so much for stopping by. Happy crafting!

Hi, I especially love the first watercolor card but I have a couple questions as to how you accomplished this. Did you use watercolor paper? How did you keep your white areas…you didn’t mention that you had embossed the white outlines…Thanks in advance for sharing.
Hi KarenAnn!
Yes, I always use watercolour paper when I make watercoloured card. I use cold press watercolour paper because I love rough textures. For my first card in this post, I only used solid image not outlined image. I stamped solid flower using Distress inks several times and then brushed them using water brush. Distress inks react with water! I hope you could understand my answers. Happy new year!!! xoxo
Thank you for explaining how you made this beautiful card…
Love the first watercolor card. Could you explain “second generation stamping”? Thank you.
Hi Cindy!
Second generation stamping:
1) Ink up your stamp.
2) Stamp it on any card stock or paper you don’t use properly.
3) Stamp on your project without reinking the stamp.
After stamping, I brushed them using water brush. Distress inks react with water!! I hope you can understand my answers!
Happy new year!!! xoxo
