Hello everyone! It's Lydia here with you today. I will be focusing on one of the products from the new release Halftone Hearts Stamp Set.
This is such a fun and ‘different' set! In just one inking and impression you can get an ombre look. The different sizes and hearts means that there are many creative ways you can use these stamps.
I'll be sharing with you 2 different ideas using this set but there will be many, many more!
My first card is the simplest of the 3:
For this I took 6 of the different sizes of the hearts and stamped them clustered along the right side of my card. I started with the largest, and worked my way down to the smaller hearts to fill in the gaps. The colours I used are Cotton Candy, Lavender Fields, Volcano Lake, Bamboo and Mango Smoothie Crisp Inks.
For the sentiment I stamped one of the ones from Halftone Hearts Stamp Set onto black cardstock with white embossing powder. I love the look of the white sentiment with the thin white border around it. To get this effect I cut out the word with the coordinating dies. I cut the coordinating die a further 4 times out of white cardstock and layered these up to create a kind of chipboard piece.
I added the layered sentiment into place and then added a few enamel dots from the New Day Card Kit to finish the card.
For the next card I created my own background:
To do this I started by drawing a diamond grid all over the front of my card blank. I used a soft pencil line and ruler, to create the grid- using a soft pencil line meant that I could erase it easily after I had finished stamping. I then took one of the smaller hearts and stamped them on every crossroad on the grid. The colours I used are Cotton Candy, Lavender Fields, Volcano Lake, Bamboo and Mango Smoothie Crisp Inks.
I then stamped and white embossed one of the larger hearts onto some vellum and cut out. Again for the sentiment I white embossed this too but this time on to some black cardstock. To frame these two elements I decided to layer these pieces up on top of a frame from the Reflection Scrapbook Collection.
My third card uses the same inks as the other 2 cards but this time I used them as watercolour:
As with the first card I stamped the hearts along the right side of my card. This time though I stamped and white embossed embossed them onto watercolour card and did not over lap them. I then wet the whole piece of the watercolour cardstock and dropped in colour using Cotton Candy, Lavender Fields, Volcano Lake, Bamboo and Mango Smoothie Crisp Inks. Once I was happy with the amount of colour I left this to the side to dry.
For the sentiment I stamped one of the ones from Halftone Hearts Stamp Set onto black cardstock with white embossing powder. Then cut out the word with the coordinating dies. I cut the coordinating die a further 4 times out of black cardstock. And then layered these up to create a kind of chipboard piece. I wanted more to this sentiment, so I stamped one of the smaller sentiments onto vellum and heat embossed this too. Then I cut this to a strip and added it into place before adding the layered sentiment piece.
I hope you like the cards I have shared today. I really can't wait to see what you come up with using this versatile set!
Hugs, Lydia x

Lydia, Super sweet cards and adored each of them! What I liked best of the final hugs & kisses was that it had a bokeh or ethereal feel to it. Brilliant!

WOW Lydia, these are all so pretty, you’ve chosen such beautiful colours. Vellum always makes a card more elegant. Well done!
