Stamp Focus : Floral Shadow

by Anna Kossakovskaya

Hello! Anna is here to highlight the Floral Shadow Stamp Set from our July release.

I like the sentiments, all the flowers, and the leaves silhouettes! Perfect for making one-layered cards or fussy cutting. I prepared three different card with three techniques to showcase you the possibilities of this set.

For the first card I only used the Floral Shadow Stamp Set and some sequins to support the color choice. I used the Spicy Yogurt Cardstock here and three colors of gray inks to create the ombre effect.

It's easy to create such background using MISTI tool. Place the piece of the cardstock on the pad and fix it with magnets. Then place all stamps on their places and ink them with any Crisp inks you want to use (I used Morning Frost, Evening Gray, Moon Rock for this card). This way you create an ombre effect directly on the stamps and then stamp with them.

For my second card I played with only one of the leaves from the Floral Shadow Stamp Set. I stamped it few times with the light teal Distress inks, and then I added a watercolor by coloring darker shades for every leaf.

After that I added the sentiment on a peach cardstock by white embossing the word ‘Smile' from the Halftone Smile Stamp Set (then I cut it with Smile die and placed on the foam). The second sentiment I stamped with the Lava Rock Crisp Ink on a white cardstock. And added some clear sequins.

The third card is very soft with the bold black accents. I stamped two flowers directly on the card base and three ones on the separate piece of the cardstock and fussy cut them. I used soft color combo using the Sea Glass and the Frosty Pink Crisp Inks.

Then I white embossed the phrase from the Beautiful Quotes Stamp Set on a black cardstock, cut them in stripes and placed them above the flowers. Don't forget to add some clear and gold accents.

Have a good day!
