3 Simple Floral Cards Made with Dot Art (So Easy!)

by Laurie Willison

Hello, Altenew friends! It's Laurie here, showcasing the new Dot Botanicals Stamp Set. This stamp set is an absolute stunner when stamped out. It works for clean and simple cards, for backgrounds, and it would be great for scrapbook elements. I have 3 simple cards today showcasing different layouts where you can use the beautiful Dot Botanicals Stamp Set.

Altenew DotBotancials LaurieWillison9Masking is a great technique that helps spotlight a focal point. To create this card, I masked of 1/2″ around the card front and then blended in an ombre look using Coral Bliss and Vineyard Berry.

Altenew DotBotancials LaurieWillison8Using Altenew's Obsidian Pigment Ink, I stamped the dot image at the bottom of the ink blended area. I used a sentiment from the same set and heat-embossed it on a black strip of cardstock.

Altenew DotBotancials LaurieWillison7For this next very clean and simple card, I stamped the solid image with Limestone ink and then added in the dotted layer with Obsidian Pigment Ink.

Altenew DotBotancials LaurieWillison6Altenew has an amazing basic alphabet die set called Fine Alphabet Die Set. I love these dies for adding in simple but bold sentiments.

Altenew DotBotancials LaurieWillison5Lastly, I die cut the word Hello in black fun foam. This gives a different texture to the card front by using foam instead of cardstock. I love the dimensional feel.

Altenew DotBotancials LaurieWillison4On the next card, I used the other leaf image for a background. I used a light green cardstock and then stamped the solid image to cover the card front.

Altenew DotBotancials LaurieWillison3The solid image was stamped in Frayed Leaf Ink and then I went back in with Forest Glades Ink to add in the dotted image. It adds such a fun shading to the solid image with lots of detail. I mixed up some white acrylic paint and water and did a little paint splatter on the card front before cutting it into 4 different pieces.

Altenew DotBotancials LaurieWillison1Using fun foam, I popped each square up on the white card base and then finished it off by adding the sentiment from Miss You Word Die. Even though there are a few more steps, this is still a quick and easy card to make.

Altenew DotBotancials LaurieWillisonI hope you have enjoyed the Dot Botanicals cards that I created for today. Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great day!
