Hello friends! Erum here today. Today I will be featuring the very beautiful Blooming Bouquet Stamp Set on my cards.
First and foremost, how beautiful is this stamp set eh? Gorgeous!!
First, my brightly coloured one layer card. In addition to the main bouquet image, I used the larger single flower, bunch of three small flowers and a few leaves to make my border.
I watercoloured the images using distress stains and Gansai Tambi watercolours. My background looked too plain in comparison to the border therefore I added a bit of green watercolour around it.
Also, I didnt worry much about shadows or highlights, I just wet the area and dropped in some colour.
Next up is the card that features only the main image (bouquet).
Rather than using a different colour palette for my cards, I chose to use the same colours. I stamped my main image on to a watercolour cardstock and heat embossed it using Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder.
Again, I wet one area and started dropping in colour exactly like the first card. As a result, this was the fastest card to come together.
As shown above, I added a bit of grey outside the lines on my bouquet. Therefore, you can see a bit of faux dimension to my one layer stamped image. In the end, I placed the word “Love” from Script Words Die Set over my image.
Likewise, I used the same colour palette for my last card. In my opinion, you can make your own bouquet using the Blooming Bouquet Stamp Set since it has quite a few single stamps that will help you with the same. With this in mind, I fussy cut the images after watercolouring and arranged them in my own floral spray.
I also added a bit of light grey colour wash behind my floral spray.
The word “Love You” is from Heartfelt Sentiments Stamp Set.
Whenever I am short on time, I use this technique of wetting an area and dropping colour. For this reason, my cards came together rather quickly.
That's all for today. I hope you liked the cards. Thank you for stopping by.
hugs,
Erum
